A new wave of toddler swimming lessons is offering lessons on topics ranging from how to use a paddle, how to set up a timer and how to get out of a water slide.
Bentonville-based Canons swim lessons for kids is offering its first class of beginner lessons in August, the group said.
The first classes are being offered for free at a local playground, and Canons said they will also provide more specialized classes in future.
The classes are free to students and parents, and they are offered in a variety of age groups, including toddlers, kindergartners, preschoolers and elementary schoolers.
Canons said it aims to offer the classes in the U.S., but it is looking to expand to other countries in the future.
Its mission is to provide swimming lessons for preschoolers, toddlers, and high school students, with lessons focusing on health and safety, safety in the water and understanding of basic physics, the company said.
The company said its classes include hands-on swimming lessons with the goal of developing the next generation of parents.
