As many of you know, I have been writing up the schedule of Charlotte’s indoor swimming lessons, and the best way to go about doing so is to buy a swimsuit and have it delivered.
As you probably know, Charlotte has a number of indoor swimming classes on a weekly basis, and we have a couple of weeks off between lessons to make the time.
Here’s a quick rundown of what you need to know: When: Tuesdays and Thursdays, from 9am-5pm; Wednesdays and Fridays, from 10am-6pm; Saturdays, from 11am-1pm; Sundays, from 12 noon-1:30pm Where: Charlotte’s Marina, 1650 Charlotte Blvd.
What to wear: The most important thing to remember is to wear your swimsuit underneath your swim cap, or, if you’re wearing a bikini, wrap your arms around your waist and cover your shoulders with your arms.
In order to be swimming in a pool, you must have your swim suit in the water.
Wear a swim cap or a swim shorts and cover the sides of your torso with a towel or a towel cloth.
When you’re at the pool, wear a swim shirt.
Shoes: If you’re swimming on the water, don’t wear shoes.
If you’re not, wear tennis shoes or sandals.
You should also wear a pair of rubber sandals or a pair that fit well.
How to get there: Take the I-95 North to I-277 South.
Exit the interstate at Exit 5.
Head south on I-278 South.
Continue to exit 1.
Enter Charlotte International Airport and take the airport entrance.
Follow the signs for I-279 South.
You should see the sign for Charlotte.
Go straight ahead and park your car.
Then take the exit to the left and turn left.
Turn right onto Charlotte Blvd and turn right.
Continue to the end of Charlotte Blvd, turn left onto Charlotte.
The entrance is on the right.
Park your car at the Marina.
Take the exit on the left.
Turn left onto I-28 North.
Go south on Charlotte Blvd and turn right on I.28 North for about two miles.
At the parking lot, park your vehicle.
Stay on the side of the road until you see a police officer.
Do not park on the shoulder.
Park at the next stop light on the south side of Charlotte.
When you’re there, ask for the officer.
What to expect: There are no swimming lessons at this time.
If you have questions, be sure to ask them to the police.
How to stay safe: If there is any water in the area, swim in it.
No swimming is allowed at this location.
