A family of three, including one daughter, is taking their family swimming for the first time in their lives in Omaha.
“I am definitely excited about it,” said Jessica, who has two children, ages 4 and 8.
“We have been told to be extra careful when it comes to using the water, but we are very relaxed and enjoy it.
It feels really natural.”
The family is planning on visiting the lakes for the weekend and enjoying some of the local food and fun that surrounds them.
“I am really excited about the trip,” said Amanda, the youngest of the family.
“The lake is amazing.
It is so green and it has lots of fish.
It makes you feel so good to be out there, it is just a wonderful experience.”
The family will be joining other families who have traveled from other parts of the country to the lakes.
The trip will take place from August 14 to August 17.
There will be some new additions to the family this summer, including a new paddleboard that they will be using.
All of the families will also be participating in the annual Lake Charles Fishing Festival on Saturday, August 15 from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m., when a new section of the lake will be open to the public.
This is the first year that the family will visit the lakes, and they have been excited to learn about their new surroundings.
“The lake has lots to offer and we have been given the opportunity to explore and learn more about it all,” said Hannah, the oldest of the four.
“It has really changed my life.
I will definitely be staying here for a long time.”
