A teenage boy and his father were swam across a river in South Wales after they swam into the River Rhynn in Gwynedd on Sunday morning.
The boys’ parents, Luke and Laura Cawley, said they were on a walk along the Rhynne River with their children on Sunday afternoon.
Luke Cawly said: “It was very sunny.
The water was a bit warmer than normal.
The river was really quiet, but it was a lovely, quiet river.”
We had a good swim and got to the bottom of the river.
We had no problems.
“Luke said: “[My dad] said: ‘Don’t get wet.’
“It was just a great moment.”
The boys were swimmers with the Gwynddes.
Luke said the river was very quiet but the river looked as if it was moving.
Laura Cawle said: [They] did a good job.
They did a lot of paddling and they got their son back safely.
Luke told the BBC: “I was really happy.
It was a great day.”
