(WOOD) — Longview swim instructors are hoping to fill the gap left by the retirement of one of the city’s best.
A new wave of seniors who have had to make tough decisions in the wake of the recent death of their mother and the recent disappearance of a young daughter are making their way through the water at the Longview Swim Lessons.
Longview Swim Teachers Co-Owner and Founder Dr. Steve Siegel said there are only a few months left until they can get more of the students back on the water.
They are getting a lot of requests from the public.
The instructors have been in a great position to provide a good amount of quality of life lessons.
Siegel said the Longwood Swim Lessons offer a unique approach to the training of young people in the city of Longview.
The lessons are focused on the fundamentals of swimming, from basic water skills to better techniques for training.
They offer a lot for young people to learn, said Siegel.
It gives them a chance to meet other people in different age groups, and to have fun, he said.
